Binding Phase

Once known as the Elemental Phase, at some point in Pre-History, the Ancients were all trapped inside that phase and it was shorn from the rest of the Known Crest, carved off of the Voidphase rendering in inaccessible to the rest of the Crest. Presumably this was done to protect the rest of the Crest, though the specifics, rationales, and methods are long lost to history.
