Toranyan
The Toranyan are a scarce race of turtlefolk that live around the north-eastern hemisphere of Faymare. They are known for their magical prowess and their unique talent for cooking. Toranyan make wonderful sailors, not only being amphibious and water-breathing but also able to swim quickly and tirelessly.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Toranyans are short and wide, with two thick arms ending with clawed fingers and two stumpy legs ending with two clawed toes.
Genetics and Reproduction
The Toranyan lays eggs, often near the waters of the Marsh they live in. They REQUIRE a body of water to be able to have a successful birth, as their babies require water for their growing process. They do not stay in the water long, however.
Ecology and Habitats
The Toranyans used to live in the Granfae Marsh, a perfect place for their children and livelihoods. However, ever since the Burn, Toranyans have moved far and wide, and have become scarce. Some live on the Ebonapis in the Ivajo Desert. Others live in Famal, in the lower peasant regions.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Toranyans are omnivorous, but often consume fruits more than they consume meats, as they do not need as much protein as another being.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Toranyans have a very good sight underwater, often able to see clearly and as far as they can while on land.
