Nour

Nour is a beautiful, large town known for its amazing craftsmen of lanterns. To display these lanterns, the craftsmen would line the rooves of their shops with them. This is where its nickname a city of a thousand lanterns came from. This nickname however didn't put the sheer number of lanterns on display in the city. It is estimated that within the city there were about 400 different glassmakers at any one time*.   During the summer months, many glassmakers would descend upon the city and work on lanterns through the summer. This was in preparation for the influx of lantern sales and the festival of Nouro, or the festival of light.    * The number was known to fluctuate as many would travel to other cities to sell their work.

Districts

The Fire District or the burned district was the area where most of the lower-end glassworkers had their shops. It was highly susceptible to catching fire, as many of the rooves were still made of wood and or straw.
