Cerulla

It was the capital of the kingdom of Marana it was also a large commercial city and during the height of Marana’s power it was home to some of the most powerful merchants in the ^Leonan Sea^. 
During its declining years it struggled very deeply financially, most powerful families left the city to escape its crumbling economy. Most historians pinpoint the start of the decline in the economy to 42 P.W. though some say it may have been earlier. It’s financial decline was caused by the strained relationship between Marana and surrounding kingdoms. During the year 5 P.W. to 0 M.E. the city slowly fell into despair most people fled the city and in the year 0 M.E it was burnt to the ground, it’s destruction ending the Maranian war. 
Cerulla, now known as Mouurani, is a city built upon the ruins. It’s architecture is the closest the modern world has to Maranian architecture and some of the ruins of the palace can still be visited today.
