Fangs Sunk in Floorboard

Civilization clings-on to its last scraps for survival in a world scarred by war. The guns have gone silent, the craters in the land have been covered-over by grass, and ruined cities lay abandoned and overgrown. It's been two decades since the fires went-out and the bombs stopped falling. Though some flags still fly, most nations have been crippled or dissolved completely. Still, in this somber peace, life carries on, and the first generation born after the war is coming of age.   Machines still run, fed and maintained by magicians known as fabricators. Most everything used is leftover from the Great War or survivors from before it, as very little new is made anymore. People do what they can to feed themselves and scrape-by.   New threats exist, of course. From the fantastical wildlife of this world to a largely unknown force of pure destruction known simply as "the Bayn."
