Kaladel

Capital of Sisafir, sister city of Kaladria.
Events
This is where the story begins. The capital city is hosting the Deonar Summit. Deonar translates to "closest to the gods." In Fandriel, ten kingdoms choose leaders to represent them. In certain cases each of these ten leaders get one vote on matters within the continent, but the Deonar gets a decisive two votes. The Deonar Summit only happens once every ten years, when a new Deonar is chosen. The title is granted to the winner of a competition of the current Deonar's choosing. It is a time of celebration in Kaladel and a moment that decides history.
One by one, each leader is paraded through the city along with ranks of soldiers, marching bands, floats, and general revelry. When King Hunan passes by atop his elephant palanquin, he drops dead quite suddenly. His guards seize anyone they can on the scene. This is how Jorgen the half-elf, Qalirin the elf, and Shamash the dragonborn wind up in a jail cell together with a man named Darius and his imp Cleaves.
Darius offers the trio a way out of jail and a fair amount of gold if they will do him a favor. It seems one of the senators of deceased King Hunan, Alakir, needs to summon his advisors. The three soon-to-be party members quickly agree to whatever will get them off the hook for regicide. On their way out of town, they come across the son of an aristocrat seeking to leave Kaladel. They decide to take Bartholomew the aasimar along.
Fortunately for the party, Bartholomew was able to bribe a guard into letting the four through a gate and westward towards The Bricks. Unfortunately for the party, this path lead to their first combat encounter: goblins! The dragonborn cleric knew the language Goblish and attempted to talk down the attackers to no avail. Accuracy aside, the battle went well for our heroes and they lived to see another sunrise in Fandriel.

Golden Center is where the aristocratic senate reside, near the royal palace.
Upper Ring boasts a large shopping bazaar and some apartments for the wealthy.
Belt of the Gods hosts the capital's houses of worship. Also where the clergy lives.
Outer District is where most citizens of Kaladel live.
Outskirts is where you'll find the slums and industrial sectors of the capital.
