Falsehollow

Falsehollow is the bastard child of three separate universes, which crashed into one another and melded in a catastrophic event during the Before-times. It contains a distasteful mishmash of elements: the continents and landforms of the New World, the portals and randomized magic of the Primordial, and the Gods of the Chaos.   The survivors of that cataclysm were few and far between, but numerous enough to rebuild their civilizations from the ashes. The Seven Islands of the Primordial were eroded away and covered with dirt; grandeur cities sitting atop their ruined crags and siphoning the primordial magic that still radiates from within.   The powerful influence of the Gods warped the landscape at their feet until their magic grew too great and consumed them whole, teaching a lesson to the few Gods who remained to juggle their magic and prevent their inevitable fate.   Now, thousands of years after the melding, the chaos has settled down into a predictable - but dangerous - cycle. The strange creatures that lurk deep in the forest's depths are known to the legions of man, though that makes them no less terrifying. Several of the portals of the Primordial have been tracked down and destroyed, though thousands of them still litter Falsehollow's wilds, opening the gate to new and bizarre dimensions, spilling forth creatures that should not exist.   Falsehollow exists in a delicate equilibrium of man and magic. All it takes is one misplaced dragon to bring the dominoes crashing down...
