Falltir

The world of Falltir, is a fantastical one that combines magic and technology. Or rather one that uses magic to fuel technology. The discovery of Alexandrite, a magical crystal thought to be of the world tree, has allowed a new way of life.   Despite this, or perhaps because of this, the world is in a Cold War style tension between the formerly dominant Eldarin nations on the main continent and, the new super power, the island nation Breadh du Alba.   The disc was ruled, for most of it's existence, by the races of Elves with very few exceptions. But several of the Gods from Pantheons of other races, grew tired of their people's and made the other races aware of their abilities and resources, which fuelled the successful rebellion.   The wars that have taken place since the liberation of many nations from Eldarin rule have been horrid and numerous. But with most nations free, and having tenuous alliances to stand together in future wars, the peoples of Falltir have found themselves in a time of almost peace.   Falltir is a one of a series of discs that exist on the world tree.Travel between the discs is possible but takes extreme magic out put and has been extremely rare. Although through Falltir's enlightenment there has been steps taken to make other discs more accessible.
