Fallout: Roswell

War. War never changes.   When atomic fire consumed the earth, those who survived did so in great, underground vaults. When they opened, their inhabitants set out across ruins of the old world to build new societies, establish new villages, forming tribes. As decades passed, two greater powers rose and fought in the mojave wasteland to take control of the hoover dam. But in the end, it was taken by a courier, and the independent state of New Vegas which he led. In its formative years the state was in anarchy, and had refugees fleeing to the Arizona Deserts. As they searched for a new home, they would hear rumors and stories of a paradise in the land of enchantment, New Mexico.   Once a land of harsh deserts and rocky mountains even before the great war, is now a land of lush and enriched soil on one side and a dense jungle on the other. A land that was once owned by the Legion, however in the years since Caesar died, his empire would be plagued with rebellion ultimately the Legion collapsed. The refugees would join the rebels to establish the Taos Union, to preserve the land and protect its people. As the Union grew, curious minds wandered into the jungle, and the few who lived to return spread legends of a lost city in the center of the jungle called Roswell guarded by the beasts that grew within and machines that patrolled the city's walls.   It has been 10 years since the second battle of Hoover Dam, order has been restored in the Mojave wasteland and thanks to the treaties with the NCR, the Mojave is able to prosper. Upon hearing about the newly found Taos Union, the two states would join in an alliance due to their shared mistrust of the NCR and the Legion, as well as what each state has to offer to the other. As the two trade with one another, the rumors of roswell spreads to the people of the Mojave, the most opportunistic rush to the jungles to be the first to reach Roswell   Since the founding of the Taos Union and the spreading of the Roswell rumors, two chapters of the Brotherhood of Steel have acquired interest in the land of enchantment. The Mojave chapter, infamous for raiding caravans in I-15 and highway 95 for any advanced technology, seeks to lay claim to Roswell and its machines. On the other hand, the Lonestar chapter is much like the chapters of the east coast, as they are heavily involved with the Taos Union, and seek to prevent the Mojave Chapter from finding Roswell to prevent a possible worst case scenario.   Years after the Legion’s Empire collapsed, the Legion was reformed under the leadership of Augustus, the self-proclaimed heir of Caesar. Seeking to reclaim what was once theirs, the Legion of Augustus is planning an invasion towards the Rio Grande where the most fertile farmlands of New Mexico are found. Scouts are sent to explore the dense jungle for the requisitioning of roswell could benefit in the Legions end goal of taking back the lands of New Mexico.   More interested in the new frontiers towards the northern territories, the NCR once had little interest in laying any claims in New Mexico or in the Roswell rumors. However, after searching an abandoned Enclave base, documents entailing a plan called “The Babylon Project” was found and clues of what it could be leads towards Roswell. While the NCR as a whole believes this to be a wild goose chase, a small team of scouts have been ordered to investigate the Babylon Project and assess what could be a threat to the wastelands.
