Likes: climbing trees, finding edible plants in the wild, reading, animals, alone time, her bedroom, tea (with honey and milk), playing the mandolin (or at least trying), making small crafts out of spare parts, logic puzzles, big warm quilts, hiking, and daydreaming. Dislikes: mosquitoes, humid days, big crowds, public speaking, “small talk”, loud things (including people), awkwardness, wet rubber shoe soles on wood (they squeak), chalk dust, graphite smudges, and broken book spines.

Rosemary is a very intelligent, very insightful person. She’s physically strong from years of hiking in the mountains and climbing trees, and she’s mentally strong from reading every book she can find, acing every writing and grammar exam at her community school, and studying all the plants in the forests. She cares deeply about animals, nature, and the people who are closest to her (admittedly, of these there are few). Rosemary may be introverted, but her shy silence contains multitudes.

Rosemary has a tendency to withdraw when things get difficult. She has a hard time talking to others about her problems, and usually ends up just bottling everything inside and trying to weather the storm herself. She is not great around people— this in of itself is not a flaw —but she self-isolates when things get too uncomfortable. She is introverted, but this does not mean she doesn’t get lonely. When she was younger, her “friends” always talked to her about their problems, and she never felt safe opening up to them. They made her feel like their lives were hard enough without having to deal with her feelings too, so she just learned not to tell them to anyone.
