Golden Tower

The Golden Tower was erected ages ago. It's ancient travertine blocks still glow gold at the zenith and slumber of the sun, giving the tower it's name. Yet it's beautiful inlaid stone carry the weight of an archaic curse. Much thicker than the mortar, the curse has banished the existence any humanoids that live within the stony fortress. Now more like a tombstone then an architectural monument, it stands a solemn vigil awaiting adventurers to carry forth.
Marks of a past war heavily waged throughout the surrounding terrain are hidden now beneath fresh sediment and green growth. Home to a mysterious being of celestial bloodline claiming the lineage of beastkin beneath his boot. When the bloodshed was finished, he gave ne'ery a terry to the monstrous races he enslaved and was soon more than familiar with fang and claw. With his last breath, he cursed the Golden Tower.
Now a nest to an odious serpentine beast, the Golden Tower's rich history has been bled throughout the land.
