Personal history
Rose Jager was born to Kurt and Elisabeth Jager in Grimmland. Her father was always off serving the queen of Grimmland, Klara of Grimmland, so Rose mainly lived alone with her mother. Her maternal grandmother, Rebekka Roth, was very close to the mother and daughter. She gave Rose a beautiful scarlet cloak which had been in the Roth family for many years. Rose wore the cloak everywhere, which lended to her nicknames, Little Red Riding Hood, and sometimes, Rose-Red.
One day, her grandmother fell sick, and Rose was sent to bring her cake and wine. On the path, which she had travelled many times before, she met a notorious lycanthrope called Friedrich Grossman. Rose, being still in her youth, didn't recognise Grossman as a threat, and befriended him. Unlike most lycanthropes, Grossman was cunning and, after Rose had disclosed her goals, sped off to eat Rebekka, disguise himself as her and get into bed to lie in wait for the unsuspecting Rose.
Rose was almost eaten by Grossman when a local woodsman named Paul Baumhauer came and killed Friedrich with an axe. Rose was kindly brought back to her home, only to discover that her mother had also been killed. She was, reluctantly, brought to her father in the royal palace of Grimmland. She befriended the princess, Snow-White of Grimmland.
When Snow-White was driven out of the palace by Rose's own father, Rose was horrified. She tried running off after her.

Her mother taught her basic knowledge, so that she may get by in life, including reading, writing and arithmetic, as most parents did to their children. After Elisabeth died, Rose lived in the royal palace of Grimmland, where Snow-White's personal tutor allowed Rose to join in the lessons.

Rose's mother and grandmother were killed. Her father attempted to kill her best friend.
