The Entaglement was the collision of the inner planes into the material world.

The Entalgement caused fissures and portals to the elemental worlds. Expossing new forms of magic, travel and danger into the world. This left the world in chaos for a year before the collisions settled leaving scars on the landscape of Fairlyn.   These scars can be harnessed for new forms of magic. Potentially used to travel to the planes that originally left these scars. However these areas are now left with aberrations and unexplained creatures appearing around these places of great power.
