Mortlock has two main physical features: His massive size and musculature, and his face which was half-scarred by fire during his teenage years.

Mental Trauma

Mortlock was the unwanted child of Thelamra Vanthampur and her third husband, Bronte. This led to him being ostracized by his older brothers, and ignored by his mother. He sees himself as less than worthy of their attention, but still seeks to prove himself. Every time Mortlock thinks he has been put down, or somehow scolded by his family, he will retreat either into a deep depression or to fits of rage.

Intellectual Characteristics

Mortlock is not a smart man. He lacks common sense, and book learning, making for a truly slow individual. He is a brute, plain and simple. He is has malicious tendencies, mainly because he knows no different. He was raised by a spiteful woman, and constantly demeaned and picked on by his older brothers. If given the chance, Mortlock could change his ways, perhaps, but as a man in his late twenties, time is running short for those helping to change his ways.
