Sloobludop
Sloobludop was a Kuo-toa village on the eastern edge of the Darklake. From a distance, it looked like a massive tangle of reeds stretching up into the darkness, lit by glowing spots of phosphorescence. Upon closer approach, a series of rickety towers could be seen, lashed together by rope and plank bridges set in haphazard patterns. Even above ground, the Kuo-toa build in line with their three-dimensional aquatic sensibilities, constructing their "great city" as if it were underwater.
Sloobludop simmered, towards the end, with religious fervor and sectarian tension. Whilst many of the Kuo-toa still worshipped the goddess Blibdoolpoolp, a faction had shifted its worship to Leemooggoogoon the Deep Father, a vision influenced by the demon prince Demogorgon from the depths of the Darklake. Initially, the archpriest of the Sea Mother, Blibdoolpoolp, tolerated this- but then his own daughter declared herself an archpriest of the Deep Father, Leemooggoogon, and the cult began to grow. In response, Ploopploopeen, the archpriest of the Sea Mother, planned to kill his daughter and her followers during a sacrifice to the Deep Father which he was going to pretend marked his acceptance of his daughters rule. It is said that he brought in a group of adventurers to pose as his "sacrifices" and hired them to help him to kill his daughter and her followers. It was during this fight that one of the adventurers apparently killed the archpriest of the Deep Father, spilling her blood upon the alter, and inadvertantly summoning the Deep Father himself, Demogorgon.
Demogorgon rampaged through the town, killing and destroying all in his path. Sloobludop now lies in ruins, with nobody truly knowing its current state as none yet have dared to return there, or at least, if they have, none have lived to report its current state. It is has therefore been officially confirmed destroyed as of the 10th Ches 1402.
