Arch-Mage, Lord & High Harper of Waterdeep Zelraun Nikalous Roaringhorn (a.k.a. The Purple Dragon)
Lord Roaringhorn hails from a Waterdhavian noble family, with all the self-assurance and pride that entails. Despite this, he is graceful, when not drunk, and he is always kind and witty. He is a sophisticated intellectual and he pursued his talent for the arcane arts from a young age and has become an very accomplished and well respected wizard, even attaining the position of one of the Arch-mages of The Waterdeep Wizarding College. In fact, he is regularly sought out by noble families to help train their children, although he rarely has time for this anymore, as his duties as a high ranking Harper take up most of his time. He is after all, the "High Harper" of Waterdeep, overseeing their operations not only in the city, but in its outlying areas and he even gets requested to attend meetings outside of his official jurisdiction; such as when he attended the meeting in Gauntlgrym regarding the demonic crisis that took place in 1402.
Despite his stations of a Arch-mage and High Harper of Waterdeep, he has never forgotten his roots or lost his fondness for spending his family's considerable income on the finer things in life. He's a confident sort that loves to gamble, and carries this gamblers outlook and attitude into his work, with great success. His game of choice is Dragon-chess, of which he is a recognised Grand-Master. As to his age, no one knows, but he has been around for at least 2 centuries, which for a human is very unusual indeed.

Lord Roaringhorn dresses in the finest of clothing, which is always predominately purple, thus his nickname, "The Purple Dragon".

Personal history
Lord Roaringhorn was once upon a time an adventurer. Indeed, his is noted in the annuls of the Maelstrom Guild as being one of their members, and credited as taking part in many a heroic en-devour. As such, he is respected by many, Including his very good friend, Sir Lanniver Strayl of the Order of The Gauntlet. When the two of them are together, it is said to be quite entertaining to witness their antics, such as the almost legendary incidents of the flying cattle in 1401 and the Dragon of Gauntlgrym in 1402, to name just 2 two, two of a great many.
Education
When Zelraun actually partook of his studies is unknown, but it is believed, and sometimes stated by him, that he studied at the Wizarding College of Waterdeep, before completing his tenure at Candlekeep.
Employment
Lord Roaringhorn has taught many nobles the art of magic, all of them going on to do great things. He is also now a "High Harper" the Harper Faction, having worked his way up from the bottom as he refused to accept an privileges due to his noble birth.
