Jörgund Brynjolf

Jörgund Brynjolf

Jörgund is strong, dextrous and has a tough but slender build. Not much of a charmer due to his straightforwardness, competitive nature, constant taunts and crazy-like stare. But he appreciates when people recognize his deeds and abilities, and welcomes the company of bards that can sing the story of his deeds better than he ever could.   He was born and raised in a small Luskan village in Ruathym island which depended on foraging and livestock for trade and survival, and on raiding parties for treasure and renown. During his younger years, Jörgund was a herder and trained for combat every day.   Once he came of age and recieved his adulthood bracelet from his village chieftain, he started going on raiding parties with his siblings to follow on their parents footsteps. His parents were some of the few raid veterans that had survived multiple seasons, amassed wealth, and became leaders in their communities. Jörgund always had an inner drive to stand out from the rest of his siblings and surpass his parents in fighting skills, deeds and renown.   After a couple of raiding seasons, he left his village in chase of what he perceived to be his destiny. It was said that a Rage Master was living in the wild nearby and that he would teach the secrets of battle raging to those few that proved themselves worthy. After two years in the wild, he returned to his village, wilder and more confident than before, with the ability to go into a mad rage during combat. Frothing at the mouth and howling like a wolf when the rage takes over, Jörgund is able to draw upon superhuman strength and ressilience. While on this berserk stage, his dual battle axe attacks become reckless, but deadly.   He continued honing his dual battle axe fighting style taking up an adventuring life and partaking on traditional raiding parties to foreign lands. He gained great renown among his people after he single handedly defeated a band of five ogres which was terrorizing a nearby village.   The further he explored and raided, the stranger and grander the stories and songs he heard became. Eventually, he would be fully overtaken by wanderlust, and during last year’s raid, he decided not to come back with his fellow raiders, and stayed in foreign lands instead: in search of fame and glory.     The ballad of mighty Jörgund Brynjolf and the five scary ogres, by Elrik the red bard   Five scary ogres, very scary ogres, were hiding in a cave. ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! Gnawing on farmers’ bones! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! Gnawing on farmers’ bones!   Along came Jörgund, mighty mighty Jörgund, and chop one head clean off! WAAH! WAAH! WAAH! WAAH! They cried out for their mom! WAAH! WAAH! WAAH! WAAH! They cried out for their mom!   [The song is repeated for 4, 3, 2 and 1 ogres]
