Voonlar
Voonlar is the capital of human civilization in Northern Faerun. It is predominantly a religious city with several districts, each dedicated to a patron deity. Voonlar is sometimes called the Dawn City or the Cradle of Faith, as it is considered the origin of civilization and various religions.

The only conventional way to enter the city is by foot, as the journey to Voonlar is considered a religious pilgrimage. In the case of an emergency, a haphazard airship platform has been constructed on top of a mill.
Guilds and Factions
Scalebearers, the priests of Bahamut (and the guards of the city).The Warriors of the Dawn Fist, of the priests of Kord (And the military in Voonlar). The Holy Paramours, or priests & priestesses of Erathis, who serve as the cities Judges. The Gladekeepers, who watch over the agriculture for the city, and are devoted to Melora. The Maidens of the Raven, who oversee the Duskmeadow, and worship the Raven Queen. And the Followers of Sarenrae who are fairly new, as her temple was just discovered here not many years ago and is still being rebuilt.
The most notable guild here is the Slayer's Take, a guild that employs many adventurer's eager for coin.
History
The city of Voonlar is the only city to have survived every catastrophe that has destroyed Exandria: from the elemental chaos of its Founding to the wars between gods during the Calamity. As the oldest civilization and center of religion in the world, Voonlar is functionally the spiritual center of the world.
