"The world is ageless, and the gods are real." -Opening line of Within the Wind The lands, nations, and people we know now, rest on the bones and blood of countless others before it. Farmers till the land where eons ago stood monuments to long forgotten heroes. Desert sands hide wonders of vast aquatic cities. The world has seen ages beyond memory and throughout it all the gods have watched. Many and varied in power and size they are ever present and call Faeran their home. The year is 1425~AS and the world is populated with many races and kingdoms, but much remains wild and unexplored.
