The Sleeping Twins
"The Sleeping Twins towered over the horizon, two white-capped hills that marked the start of a chain of mountains. Felhaven lay nestled between them, a cluster of snow-covered roofs and stone chimneys interspersed with dirt paths and low wooden fences. Ein recognized the tops of some of the buildings—the bakery and the tannery, the forge where he and the rest of his family lived, the sundial at the village square where all the important events were held. He saw Evaine’s farm amongst the others scattered outside of town, Bran’s house next to the butchery and the crystalline waters of the Brackenburg winding eastwards from the lake."
"Legends told of a pair of simple farmers, the titular twins who travelled far and wide in search of a place to settle down. They discovered a small section of land nestled between a lake, a forest and a chain of small mountains. It was a natural fortress, isolated from the rest of the world, a small patch of tranquility that was difficult to reach from the outside and easily overlooked by unfamiliar eyes. Thus, Felhaven was founded, and when the twins died, two great mountains rose from their corpses to seal off the last remaining path to the village. The valley was named in their honour."
