According to ancient legends, the Faerie Folk were known to humans since the dawn of humankind. According to Old Irish Traditions, the Faery Folk may be lesser deities that were sluffed off to the fairy mounds once Christianity came round. Ye Old English, Scottish and Spanish tales speak of the undead too good for hell and too bad for heaven, fallen angels, or plain cursed spirits wandering Earth as their purgatory. Some also say that these tales are glimpses of more archaic peoples clashing with the hunter-gatherers who perhaps evolved into the modern human race scholars know today. However, where many books and stories do agree is that the Fae are enchanted folk. Sometimes they are pranksters, and mischievous little gits since their version of good and evil is a bit skewed. If you make a wish to a fae for a million dollars, the prankster might steal it from your neighbor leaving you to pick up the pieces. Therefore, if one were to run into such folk, it is best to not use said wishes lightly.
