Fae Rike

Fae Rike is a world with plethora of magical activity. It is a world where magic is crucial to survival as it is inhabited by dangerous faunas as well as some notable floras. Because of this, magic wields serious political power. Leading to most polity as magocracy officially or unofficially.   The world of Fae Rike however is not your average Fantasy world. They are close to an 17th and 18th century era, where states field their armies with muskets and cannons, which the mages views it as a threat to their political clouts, or just complicates warfare in general. And, oh, they don't utilize Tacticool Lingeries.   All this get more complicated when a fleet of refugees found themselves in Fae Rike by an unknown anomaly. They sail the vast cosmos with their mighty vessels, and they bring knowledge, and ideas that can mesh well with what is already existing in Fae Rike. But the concerning thing is that they arrived on Fae Rike in one of the more concerning time, where the social norms, are now being questioned by philosophers and people of letters thanks to mass printing that is already there for decades. What addition would this starfares would introduce? And the one that concerns the movers and shakers, is that they are used to be a great power back in their home...
