Aronian Spellcasting Garb

"You, with your amount of wizardry power, must look no farther than Aronia. That country will nourish and faun over you. But be careful, boy. That place will suck your love out of spellcasting." - Archmage Bahamut to her son.
The nobles of Aronia have a particular fancy with spellcasters. It is known across Ezrion that the spellcaster who is from Aronia could take over the world if not destroyed from their own self-loathing first. Natives of Aronia who are born with innate magical powers, Sorcerers, are of the highest regard in Aronia. It is said that wisdom lies behind every Sorcerer. From birth, a child Sorcerer who is deemed worthy must wear a golden embroidered velvet robe with an emerald green arrow running across the hood. Tassels of red rope hanging from the arms. A tattoo of a triangle, linearly drawn, is imprinted on the children who show magical prowess, while the ones who come around to magic later in life receive different shapes depending on their area of expertise. The Five Worthy Ones who run Aronia are always dressed in black robes with golden embroidery and the same velvet arrow that runs across the hood.

History

Emperor William Koth was the first to implement a hierarchy between magical and non-magical peoples. He implemented systems wherein learning magic led to better social benefits, the ability to hold office, vote on official matters, and made it so not knowing magic put someone at a major disadvantage in life. The implementation of the velvet robes came after the fall of Ashguard, when Aronia set itself up as its own country.

Significance

One in Aronia who is seen wearing these robes is automatically given a higher level of respect. Higher officials within the Aronian court wear different colored garb, signifying their importance. Even the velvet robes garner respect from peers. It is a sign of respect to bow at a person who is wearing a colored robe.
