Runed Excavator Prototype

Over the course of the years there have been many inventions made in the field of Runic technology, largely thanks to the research efforts funded by the Covenant. Over the years this research has created waves and advanced society years beyond what it would be without it. Thanks to Runic technology, the quality of life has improved, time and effort to produce goods has decreased, and travel goes much quicker. The most recent invention to come out of Runic labs is intended to make the excavation of mines quicker, easier, and more efficient. Constructed from a combination of iron and bronze is an arm attached to a box with the controls, buttons and knobs. Attached to the arm itself is a series of shovels melted into a shape so that when opened it acts as a claw, allowing it to better. A knob also closes the shovels allowing for the stuff in the closed claw to be easily removed from the dig and dumped elsewhere. Furthermore, the arm is extendable allowing for a deeper reach than normal shovels have. The box that houses the arm and the controls is relatively small and is designed to be mobile.
This Excavator, as it’s being called by the research team, is one of the most costly designs to date as it features over 150 unique runes in varying intensities. There are Runes of Power, Force, Reduced Weight, Flexibility, and so on and so forth. The Excavator is still a prototype and is undergoing extensive testing for longevity, usefulness, portability, safety, and various stress tests as well. Nevertheless, this prototype will likely change the way the mining industry works.
