Strange beings called the Aossi have dwelt hidden among the simple folk of Eyf Melar for centuries. Ever since a near mythical event known as the Purge where the far more numerous humans sought to annihilate Aossi, the Fair Folk disguised themselves with Glamours or retreated from the world of men. A new council of Aossi was formed to keep the secret of their existence from humans. It was called the Unseen Court that enforced the Secret Law. Throughout the ages that followed this court was influenced the rise and fall of nations, deliberately warped history into fables, and ruthlessly protected the secret of the Aossi.

Near Past

However, the secret has begun to wear and crack. There are those among the Unseen Court who thinks that the Aossi should not need to skulk in shadows while lesser beings (like humans) spread across Eyf Melar. Certain Aossi have begun to grow bold and their escapades have not gone unnoticed. People have went missing, curses have been laid, and odd happenings have become all-too-common. Men and women have grown afraid of strangers and what trouble they may bring. There has even been rumor of reigniting the Purge under the banner of an ancient order.

Current Events

In the Iron Territory, in the grand City-State of Ferrus, Grand Marshal Tyroch is set to wed the fair Lady Intatia. Unbeknownst to him, she is an Aossi of ancient heritage who seeks to bring an end to the era of secrecy. The wedding night is one week hence, and it is then that Lady Intatia and her fellows intend to set their machination into motion. The revelation of the Aossi will certainly change Eyf Melar forever and there is the very real danger of a Second Purge that could lead to a war that would be catastrophic for both sides of the conflict.
