Eye of Madness

Finally amongst the stars, mankind future has never been so bright. Most of the population live in giant habitats "o'neill cylinders" that orbit the sun while many others live on the plantets, having been genetically engineered to live with the planets specific gravity and tempratures. Machines and Robots do most of the hard labour, A.I developed into full sapience, ageing became a thing of the past and the first development of FTL Warpdrives paint a bright future for man. But man is fractured.   Earth, our original home, is the political epicenter for most of the solar system and one of the few places where all nations live together. The United nations, who control the territories of: North America, South America, Europe, Japan, Autralia, Luna Alpha, Mars Alpha, Callisto and Titan.   The Russian Chinese Alliance, who own: Russia, China, Cuba who became a willing member in 2041, most of South East Asia, The Lunar Republic of China, The Martian Russian republic, Ganymede, Io and Europa   The Central Nations who own: The Middle East, Africa, Mercury and the Martian Central colonies.   The Democracy of Venus, who own Venus.   The Jewel Kingdom, who own: Jupiter, Saturn and most of the moons of these gas giants.   And a view many small factions that claim ownership of Neptune, Uranus and other bodies in the outer solar system.   All of these factions control countless habitats that float around the solar system.   All these Nations and Factions bickered and quarreled, many of them founded on completely different ideologies and with long histories of resentment towards each other. All of this would soon prove to be for nothing however.   On September fifth, 2411. A massive anomaly swept across the solar system faster then the speed of light. Scientists of all factions scrambled together to make sense of what happend, soon many could sense an aether surrounding us all, a psionic web that lets us telepatically change the world around us. At first this was seen as a reason to unite but soon after chaos ensuwed as many disagreed on the origin of these powers. Cultists and agents all over the solar system started making terrorist attacks in the name of their Gods and Ideologies but the worst was jet to come.   Second of January, 2412. A second anomaly occurred, people turned mad, many even died right on the spot. When the survivors of the event looked for clues as to what happend they saw that all over the solar system space warped and many eldrich entities walked the grounds and floated in the void. On the moon a giant eye appeared clutching it self to the lunar surface with many fleshy growth and tentacles.   The Year is 2421 now, you live amongst the ruins of many great nations desprate to surive the madness around you.
