Sugg Kugarr

Sugg Kugarr is a city located in the Ironcap Mountain Range. It is made up of a system of underground tunnels originally hollowed out by fire giants. It has since been turned into a bustling human and dwarven city.

Demographics

The city is made up predominantly by a fairly even mix of human and dwarf, with dwarf being slightly higher (39%), followed by human (37%), then gnome, (8%), and then the rest (12%) is made up by other various races.

Industry & Trade

Sugg Kugarr’s main exports are armour and weaponry. But it’s most profitable resource is Mythril, as it is one of few settlements that exports the rare metal.

History

Sugg Kugarr was created by fire giants that had hollowed out a mountain in the Ironcap mountain range. Like most fire giants, they had many dwarven slaves. It was on 1605 that a dwarf by the name of Belgrus Ashhammer escaped the caverns and fled to the nearest settlement. That settlement happened to be the human Village of Redcreek. Once there, Belgrus came and began to explain what was happening in the caverns to the townsfolk. They were apprehensive at first, but eventually rallied behind him when a young human warrior by the name of Igor Salvak joined Belgrus’ cause.   The village people spent the night scheming and came up with a solution. They would cause a distraction by faking an attempt to raid the Giant’s caverns, but retreating and leading them back to the village where they would hopefully have the upper hand, while a second half would sneak in while the giants were at Redcreek, freeing the dwarven slaves and liberating the city.   It was far from an easy process but eventually, the dwarves were freed and they joined forces with the village folk, and together they brought the giants to their knees. However, the giants who left to follow the intruders back to Redcreek were more difficult then the villagers suspected and the village was razed to the ground and everyone in it, killed. The last one standing was the young warrior Igor Salvak who gave his life to kill the giant chief leading the siege on the village. Because of his noble sacrafice, a statue of Igor and Belgrus were erected in the centre plaza of the city.

Architecture

The city is made up of a network of giant tunnels and caverns hollowed out by fire giants and eventually refined by dwarven craftsmen. The architecture is an interesting mixture between human and dwarven design.
