Sage was an orphaned child eventually given to the Tempes family heads Victor and Magdoline Tempes. He was raised by them to act as a personal hunter for their family as well as an object to be shown off to the other magical families due to his one of a kind magic.

Personal history

Sage was raised by the Tempes family heads to be nothing more than their own personal weapon to use in the magician's secret war on the monsters of the world. In order to achieve this, they pushed Sage to his limits. Even limits he was never meant to reach. They often manipulated and abused him to try and make him stronger for his "weakness" of magic. His body is littered with scars of the injuries he's sustained from their training, and they constantly bring up the memories of the abuse.

Sage views himself as a soldier who doesn't question his orders. While at the same time he makes sure that everyone around him is out of harm's way before he even thinks about himself.

He sees himself as a burden to others and often tries to play the lone wolf so he can try to protect them.

Motivation

Sage kills monsters because it's all he really knows. His most recent motivation is hunting the Sins - specifically Greed - because he kidnapped his foster sister Emily. He is willing to do anything to find her and bring her home.
He is also determined not to allow another Magicial to die if he can do anything about it, and that's one of the reasons why he took Amber Custos under his wing.

Sage is a great cook. He will often cook and pack lunches and small meals when it comes to recon missions and will try to have his friends over for dinner so he can make sure they destress and enjoy a good meal.

Sage cares too much about others and will often go out of his way to try and keep those close to him out of harm's way, even if that means keeping secrets from them.

Sage showers daily (mainly cause he gets covered in blood from missions). He has very good hygiene overall but does have a little obsession with shaving his face. He hates facial hair.
