The Shrouded Era

After a big tear appeared in the fabric that is interwoven through the world appeared around the continent of Kapira, the entire world was shuck by an invisible force. The memories of races with low magical resistance stagnated and they all lost the ability to forge new memories. Finding themselves in a barren wasteland, unable to remember, they slowly scattered throughout the continent. Settling small camps and hunting, while the ability to read and communicate was lost to generations. Only the bestial instincts imprinted on their minds during infancy could dictate the their actions. All thoughts, inspiration and ideas faded like dreams the moment you diverted your mind. Because of this strange phenomenon, this period later became known as the shrouded era.

The Fragmented Era

After a long shrouded era with confusion and migration, the races Kapira can finally begin to make memories. This marks the entry into a new era of memories to be made. The time since the races were last able to remember is unknown, as the knowledge of remembering was forgotten. But what they should have remembered shall be forgotten for an age to come. As a result of their ancestors sporadic movements, the inhabitants of Kapira found themselves in small tents or caves, and scattered around the continent.
