A pirate captain of the world Ixalan, Hagar was forced to become an adventurer when his crew was slaughtered and his ship burned. Vowing revenge, Hagar joined forces with a group of adventurers that were previously his passengers. After rebuilding his pirate fleet and taking his revenge, Hagar found that he longed for a different type of adventuring. Leaving his fleet to his second in command, Hagar through a means known only to him, left Ixalan to explore places that were completely alien, to meet new companions -in particular his friend Elzier Ralgas-, and most importantly, to find new dancing partners... they just can never seem to keep their heads...

Thin for an orc, but well muscled from his time as a pirate. Hagar is much stronger and faster than one might expect.

Personal history
Hagar was raised with three main goals in mind: to be a Pirate and lifelong sailor, to act with your crews interests in mind and not just your own, and to kill Vampires (or other undead really) on sight. He took all these lessons to heart.
Education
As the child of pirates, hunted by the Vampires of Ixalan, Hagar was taught how to hold a blade as soon as his hands were large enough to wrap around a hilt. Hagar also was a man of culture, and loved dancing. And quickly merged his love of blades and his love of the dance to call himself a "bladedancer", his enchanted swords literally singing as he fought. Those who laughed, were quickly corrected in their judgements, as Hagar replaced his parents as Captain when they are killed in battle with vampires at the age of 17, and quickly became renowned by his fellow pirates and reviled by his enemies.

Pirate captain, played a key role in defeating Jozan the Plunderer.

Morality & Philosophy
Hagar holds true to his crew, and despite being a pirate is quite honest, steadfastly loyal, and quite unlikely to draw his blades on anyone who doesn't threaten him or a crewmate. Unless they are a rich noble of course, or a vampire. However he seems to have an extremely existential mindset, life is mostly dull in its most peaceful moments (with a few exceptions). And it is only when your life is balanced on the edge of a knife that he truly feels alive.
