Yet, in the darkness dwelt the primordial lord -- Melarius, a being of immense power. In the void Melarius created his children Rath and Gwyth. Rath and Gwyth competed for their fathers attention by creating worlds in the vast darkness. Yet, Melarius seeing these worlds realized that they did not belong in the void and would destroy them. This angered his two children and they plotted to trap their father in a fragment of the void, away from their creations. Creating a facsimile of the void the children lured their father into the false universe and trapped him with two weaker created versions of themselves. Afterwards Rath and Gwyth began to fill the void with stars and planets but seeing the time it took they created their own creations. Soon, Rath realized that while their fathers vision was extreme, that life must be balanced by death and order with chaos. So his progeny would control the realms of death and disorder. Gwyth on the other hand instilled a since of duty and order in his creations. He feared his brother may take an extreme approach like their father and created a world that he locked away called Gwythen. He set his progeny to guide the world and maintain order. Rath soon saw his brothers creation and began to attempt to break the protections apart, slowly but surely the balance of Gwythen was changed. Gwyth and Rath seeing the impact of their feud decided it best if they left their progeny in charge of the balance and left the void. As their progeny toiled little did they know that the facsimile void had begun to expand and the tendrils of the primordial lord Melarius had begun to spread back into the created universe feeding off and destroying the life that they created. Now Melarius' tendrils are beginning to breach the world of Gwythen. Magics once lost have reappeared. Connections to other planes have begun to form. Monsters and races have inhabited the planet and as the 6 progeny of Gwyth and Rath try to maintain the realm, each conspires to best the others. Take up arms and fight for the future of Gwythen.
