A human woman the party fought aboard the ghost ship in session 25, on the 28th of Realm 15002. Batelf managed to knock her out and Meallan carried her back to shore, but when Vadonia touched her shoulder he briefly flickered like the ghosts do, and it clearly hurt him.
It was discovered in session 26 that Emily is not a ghost, but rather a living human from 1000 years in the past. Her, her ship and the whole crew vanished when a wave of transmutation energy swept over the city, and were never seen again. Thanks to Meallan probing at the magic pinning her to the current time, Emily has been reverted physically to age 20, complete with the black eye she received in a bar fight at that age.

Emily was the captain of the Gratitude 1000 years ago (a piece of paper Batelf retrieved, that she had previously been holding, was dated to the 28th of Realm 14002.) She expressed confusion when the party accused her of not signalling her intention to enter Port Cai, with Emily herself insisting that she had communicated with the harbourmaster. Not comprehending her own undead nature, and believing the disaster party to be pirates, she and her crew attacked. Emily alone of her crew was taken prisoner, with the others avoided or destroyed.
