Rosvik

Rosvik is by far considered the most pleasant of the Weissic Empire, claiming ownership to the most pleasant climate as well as the most tame culture. It lies just southeast of Nivistrad and shares a narrow strip of its western border with Weismark. Kessia is Rosvik's southern neighbor, making the province an optimal location for trade. The geography of Rosvik can be roughly summarized as hilly grassland, with a smattering of smaller forests here and there. Sparse, rocky taiga and coniferous forest constitute the bulk of the landscape, with a grassland housing swathes of golden patchwork farmland and laced with old, well traveled roads and bustling cities to the south. A vast expanse of dense, coniferous forest stretches far north from the edge of the taiga, blending from a lush green to a pale white as it reaches into the deep north and into the Himmelfjall Mountains, rising gently in elevation until the mountains, forest, and clouds meet. To the south, dreamlike swathes of gently rolling, sun kissed grassland stretch farther than the eye can see, with lazily twisting veins of crystal clear river cutting through the land. Further to the west, the hills gracefully swell upwards as they reach towards the mountains of Nivistrad, growing rougher and more forested as the grasslands gradually blend into alpine.
It is a densely populated region, home to numerous large cities and densely packed with farming villages. Despite its natural beauty and peaceful culture, Rosvik houses the second largest and most diligent detachment of the Weissic military, as it would be the first province seized in a land based invasion of the Empire in the event of another war with its southern neighbor, Kessia.
