The Centennial

A world with a vast history of violent conflict instigated by the meddling of gods, Etof reached the brink of collapse when a group of magicians opened the door to the Apocalypse. No part of the world was untouched by the noxious atmosphere that darkened the sky, and entire continents were split in half by the explosive shifting of tectonic plates. Entire civilizations were brought to their knees, with some entire races nearly going extinct or going deep into hiding.   100 years later, after the closing of the door to the Apocalypse by a brave adventuring party, the world continues to rebuild itself. However, the lasting effects of this global catastrophe are still felt, as nations and factions attempt to expand under a now-godless sky.
