Covering a major part of central Kalpasi, the Field of Silence are regarded as an eerie place, only to be travelled through when must. Everybody who has travelled through this area or claimed to have done so have their own story to tell from sightings of Devils, Phantoms and Leprechauns. There are though also official reports of Ghost and Spectre sightings, although no official research has been fruitfully conducted as of yet.
The field appears very flat and barren, with some rolling hills ever so distant. The definition should be grassland, but the grass has some unique properties. First, it is of a shimmering, mossy colour and when stepped on, it feels like frozen and crunches when stepped on, even in summer when it is warm. It is also in the temperature one would expect when touching it like usual grass. The soil beneath it is also shimmering slightly as if glazed, though not harder to penetrate as normal soil but gravelly when being dug up.
In between the grass one can find small crystalized pebbles, very similar to salt crystals in appearance which tend to crumble easily.
There are trees, about half of the population though is dead trees, covered in a white-grey dust and hollow inside, another phenomenon which still requires further research. From scripts and written reports, the most common explanation is a great battle in the first divine war has drained the land from life- and magical energy which leaves the lands barren.
There are birds and smaller animals such as lizards, spiders, scorpions up to mice and foxes traversing the lands and hunt there for food, though over all it seems the lands are being avoided for longer periods of inhabitation.
