Xetto's Gumbo

Xetto's Gumbo is, perhaps, Strashya's best and only unique cuisine. Everything else on the menu at the The Dragonback Cantina is a recipe that began elsewhere, but Xetto's gumbo is Illy's take on Xetto's memory of his grandfather's gumbo as rendered by ingredients unique to Strashya.

It is considered a special-occaision meal by Illy, because many of the ingredients are sparse farming in the greenhouses, and because she is even more particular on how to cook it than Xetto. Although she may growl when his name is mentioned, she never waivers in referring to this dish as Xetto's Gumbo, rather than her own.

Every time I serve it, I can't help but hope that the scent of it will bring him back in through that door and into Nejethon.
