How Kinds came to be

Describe the largest diaspora in your world. Why did they leave their homeland?
The biggest diaspora is a tale each Kind child from all territories knows. It is the story of their creation. It began when a region went through droughts lasting over five months at a time, followed by an immense tsunami well above 100 metres (328 feet). It was a drought then a tsunami, one after the other non-stop. The people affected left after five years after the first drought. Having no more food, water, or shelter, they left everything and travelled to their neighbouring territory. They got refused because the land being too poor to support more people. So, they kept going. Losing people to starvation, dehydration, and disease along the way. Groups of people stopped along the way and decided to live there. The longer the people moved forward to more people stayed behind. Hoping to live off the land. After months of walking there was only a small group left. They stopped in the middle of a forest. Suddenly, a dragon flew over them. fascinated, the group followed it until it landed nearby. Turns out, it was injured. The group collectively agreed to help it. A month passed, and the creature had mostly recovered. It revealed itself as Eris, the God of all Gods and Goddesses. Pleased with the kindness shown by humans. Eris granted all a dragon egg. He also promised that he would grant a dragon to each of the descendants. Which started Dragon Kind. Eris also explained that this was a test, and they passed. Each group that settled before them, were also given the test. Some succeeded while others failed. That is how the Kinds were created.
