Yandaijar (Yahn die yar)

Yandaijar is a small land that lies in southwestern Eveynjar. Home to the Yandiri, its borders are heavily guarded not only by its people, but sheer cliffs, dangerous animals, and terrible storms keep enemies and potential allies at bay. Those that brave the elements find people used to harsh lives that are kind to strangers. Yandaijar is dominated by a chapparal-steppe, though there are two regions that are exceptions to most of the steppe. Within the Northern part of Yandaijar lies a large Sequoia forest known as the Forest of Jubkhan, and in the southwestern portion of Yandaijar lies a forested lowland that hugs the coast, which is known as the Forest of Erke. The steppe is known as the Plain of Heroi, giving homeage to the draconic ancestor to the Yandiri, know as Heroi or Electrus. Some of the Yandiri say that his spirit still flies above the plain, guarding his children to this day. However, the likely cause for the name is that powerful storms sweep across the steppe, causing it to look like Heroi still watches them.
