Sileeron (SI lee ron)
Sileeron is a red crystal with black veins which has its origins as the blood of the dead god Saothris. Named after the Decieving Gem himself, this material has properties that give it unique properties. When struck by Shock magic, Sileeron springs forth with a burst of energy akin to a missile. Akin to the Dragonshards of Eberron, Sileeron is used to charge mechanical constructs and magical items. However, this crystal has a dark side, as it can be manipulated and controlled by Sileeris (as long one of his bodies is within a certain distance), turning everyday tools and contraptions into deadly weapons with murderous intent.
Properties
Origin & Source
Sileeris is formed from the crystallized blood of Saothris that has formed in the vacuum of space, and rained down on planes across the multiverse. Sileeron may not have an ore, but it is commonly found in rocks dating to around the end of the Da'ev.
History & Usage
History
Sileeron has frequently been used in times past to make magical items, but its usefulness in technology wasn't realized until about 1200 years ago. 1200 years ago, a Dvardai named Torenmoick Ter'Naldur found that by apply small ammounts of electrical energy (i.e. shock magic), it gently hums, allowing it to be used to judge time, and giving rise to clockwork machinery.
Everyday use
Commonly used in everyday magic items, clockwork machinery, magitech, and other magical uses.
Hazards
Due to its ability to be controlled by Sileeris, this presents a hazard as long as the being is present in an area.
