Dragonsteel
Dragonsteel is a type of metal made by combining powdered dragonbone (whether of Da'ev or Diivanne, the difference is insubstantial) with Elementine. The product is a metal harder than steel and the power of a dragon. This metal is able to be inscribe with Old or New Draconic to imbue the blades with powerful effects. It is also known as Valorian Steel.

Material Characteristics
Harder than steel, Dragonsteel is difficult to work with, but rewarding as it keeps its shape regardless of what is thrown at it, though there is evidence that something the Diivanne faced could damage it.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Dragonsteel is of a tensile strength greater than any true steel, and it is possessed by a fraction of the spirit of a dragon, as the bones of dragons retain spiritual energy after a dragon passes, especially if those bones are of a Da'ev. Due to this, Dragonsteel weapons and armor commonly become sentient and can take on aspects of their own, growing alongside their wielders.
History & Usage
History
It was originally fashioned in Valoreum amongst the greatest of the Metallurgistians as a custom for honoring their dead. When it was discovered that this creates a material with a spirit, it quickly became a custom throughout the Diivanne as a means of not only preserving the memory of their ancestors, but as a means of preserving their future. However at the Fall of Valoreum, much of this metal was lost, and is one of the rarest materials on Eveynjar.

Today, it seldom ever makes its way into any mundane hand.
Cultural Significance and Usage
The Diivanne used this as a way to honor their ancestors, something that is seen still in the descendants of the Metallurgistian, the Naaludai and the Scorpeus, though their steels have no magical properties.
Reusability & Recycling
Like other metals of magical nature, Dragonsteel doesn't rust and can be reworked.
Distribution
Trade & Market
Dragonsteel is seldom found in Eveynjar, as the beings who originally crafted the material died along with many of the Diivanne. However, a few groups of Blacksmiths seem to know how to craft the unusual metal, all of which were trained at a legendary forge in Indeljar, known as Naalrym's Forge. Even though such bladesmiths exist to craft and forge weapons and armor from this material, the price is unknown or priceless.
