Caravii

Deep within the Forest of Corrilwal stands a tree several hundred feet high. Fed by the river which wends its way through the forest, this tree is said to be the Tree of the Forest from which all life is magically sustained and through which the god Caravine works their will on the world. Many centuries ago the Elven Carav tribes pledged themselves to protect the tree and thus all life in Etenarii.    Early History   Initially, after being discovered in the 48th year of the Second Age of Caravine, the Tree of the Forest was protected by small hides being constructed in the branches of the trees that surrounded the clearing. The Carav elves watching over the tree and delivering death with precisely aimed arrows to any who would mean harm to the tree.    Founding of Caravii Ten years after discovering the Tree of the Forest the Carav tribes decided that a permanent presence was required to protect the Tree. Despite permanent settlement running contrary to the Carav ways of life, it was ultimately decided that this was a compromise worth making. As such, a walled outpost was built containing a training grounds, library of histories, and a great tower that would allow visitors to take respite when visiting Caravii for a Witnessing, Petition, or any other reason.   Destruction of Caravii Tower Some time during the second age of Chenical several settlements and landmarks were obliterated by an unknown force. One of these unfortunate settlements was Caravii. While the walls remained intact, the tower and many of the other buildings like the tavern were ruined.
