There are quite a few different species, those being humans, mages, elves, faeries, trolls, sirens, and mermaids. They all inhabit different continents and play a part of the world's balance. There are four different continents and a few underwater countries. Humans and Mages are all over the world cause they are basically the same thing, only one has learned / been born with magic. They are the highest in the hierarchy and are probably the cruelest of all species. They enslave elves and fairies(trolls live underground so they're hard to find outside their environment and sirens & mermaids live underwater). Mages do it a bit less though. Elves are usually found in Astoeca or Southern Asmye. They are the second highest on the hierarchy. They usually take nature-ish jobs or end up working for royalty as advisers(sometimes) or handmaidens. Naturally, they live in large groups(usually family) and their usual environment is the forest or large plains surrounded by forests. Faeries are typically found in Hora or Western and Southern Asmye. They are equal to elves in the hierarchy. They usually take jobs as handmaidens or any jobs associated with their element. Depending on the species of fae, their traditions might differ. Only one certain type of fae have changelings, and they are only found in Astoeca. Sirens and Mermaids are basically ignored by the humans because they aren't really seen except for underwater trade. The royal family is the most often seen as they are sometimes invited up to the land. They live in pods.
