long house

(From the outside)   You see this long upturned boat, it looks to be possibly about 40 meters in length and about 10 in width. It looks to be made of some kind of metal. There are intricate carvings all over them, they appear to be depicting some kinds of stories.   Along with the carvings the boat has many oddly shaped pipes, very similar to those on the buildings in town. The pipes let off steam of various colours ranging from just your average gray to bioluminescent orange. some of the steam is also a rainbow colour.   These large doors that reach almost to the top of the longhouse are open before you, revealing a large group of warriors all drinking and eating, you see a small fist fight happening near the center with everyone cheering. In the ring fighting appears to be a tall, stocky old man, resembling more of a dwarf than anything else but far too tall to be that of a true dwarf. The opponent is much shorter and far less stocky than the man and she clearly seems to be besting this man.   The interior contains a lot of large golden-colored chandeliers, all adorned by what appears to be some kind of cogs. Along the walls are some long tapestries, seemingly telling very similar stories of the god (john doe) ((only know about john doe if they investigated)) as the carvings outside. This (john doe) appears to be the god they worship.   The tables are long and wide, full of mouth-watering foods and drinks, barrels contain what appears to be some kind of alcohol, maybe mead. At the head of the table, there is a huge roasted boar, The skin is a dark golden brown, it has a strangely sweet aroma, stronger than that of any of the other foods. the boar seems to be off limits to most of the people.   There is a large man sitting at the head of the table, seemingly enjoying watching the fight, eating this large boar by tearing chunks of meat off it with his fingers. His skin is dark olive, his eyes are as black as night. there is something unsettling about the way he smiles, maybe the fact that he has long sharp spikes for teeth instead of normal human teeth. As you get closer you see that his teeth are not just long spikes but they are in fact made of what appears to be human finger bones, all ending in a sharp point.   His Grin widens as he sees the group of adventurers. You hear him yell a word, "OJARN" All of a sudden everything falls quiet, everything stops, and all eyes are on the man. "SIJU" he yells and everyone kneels before him saying as a group "oh great chieftain Bourk bone eater, your power and grace are unmatched. Please show us your power"   You see the eyes of Bourk flicker with yellow before he is covered in what appears to be some kind of black electricity and you see a brand on his back glow bright red. ((if they do an investigation/history check they will see the mark is that of a disgraced and fallen god) He then floats over to the party and you hear in a deep rumbling voice "SPIR?" you hear someone whisper "he is asking who are you"    (party introduces themselves here           (investigation check on carvings)   The carvings tell stories, stories of the ancients. The most common story that seems to be told is of one particular god, he appears to have some kind of strange magic. They tell of great battles that he has partaken, some against foul beasts others against his fellow gods.   (history check on carvings)   You read the stories to find they are that of the great god (john doe). They tell tales of his amazing feat, from moving a huge tsunami to killing a great beast that threatened the tribes folk of Kiojaberg. There is one tale that seems to be different from the others, a much darker tale, one of misery and betrayal.   (reading into the dark story)   This tale is far newer than the rest but also one of tragedy, it tells the story of the great god (john doe) getting cast out by his own mother and falling from the pantheon, becoming a broken shell of whom he once was. He had angered his mother, whom did not approve of the marriage of a mortal and a god. After she told him to leave the mortal man (john doe) refused and said "if I cannot have the man of my dreams then I do not wish to be a god anymore. His mother struck him down right there where he stood, stripping him off almost all of his power but extending his life far beyond that of a normal mortal. The god, now powerless to help his people took his husband and hid deep under the town of kiojaberg. He then lived happily till the death of his husband. That is where the story ends and tells nothing more of what has happened to (john doe)
