Essa

Essa is a country that is divided between gods, families and races. The newest of these areas that have joined the union is the savage lands of Feresen, which has been brought into the fold by King Corvax, or the nameless usurper (if you are a Rutherford.) The oldest is the the Tay and the Lor delta which was united by a marrige between a cattle baron and a wine merchant. There is 4 major goddesses in the Essain faith, each one has been brought in by the other families that have joined the union. In the north east lives Valella, the mother of chaos and fire, who is worshiped by the ancestors of Tulio who survived the great eruption. The people who live here strongly believe that one of their own should rule the land just like Tulio did. In the west lives the noble people who are lead by Sahrix, the mother of souls. These people just want to shape Essa from behind the scenes even if it leads to war. The coastal regions are dominated by Danora, the mother of love, they just want to win back their power that was stolen from them. In the south lies more peaceful people who helps Elaina to give them the grain that they need to survive in such a turbulent world. This country is always on the precipice of falling into a civil war if alliances can be made quick enough or the throne does something upset the northern savages.
