Saavgi (sah-AHV-gii)

Saavgi are mysterious butterfly-esque fey that leave a trail of light behind them, similar to an Aurora.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Saavgi look similar to a butterfly, if that butterfly had a wingspan that was 10ft long.
The wings are incredibly delicate and almost see-through with how thin they are, making them almost invisible during the day, but they glow with a bioluminescence at night.
Their body itself is covered in small, very fine hairs that reflect their light almost like mirrors, it is believed that this is the cause for the trail of light that they leave behind them.

Ecology and Habitats

Saavgi are only found in areas of extreme cold.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Unknown for certain, but it believed that Saavgi sustain themselves off of rays of moonlight, specifically those of Dawn as they fly more often when Dawn is full, and less often when Dusk is full and Dawn is dark.

Behaviour

They fly extremely high in the sky and thus have not been known to have many predators, they are believed to be solitary creatures though on rare occasion one can find a "flutter" of them in the night sky.
