Matu are cow-like with four limbs, a blocky body, and thick long fur fully covering them, much like a Highland Cow, their cousin found on the Material Plane.

It takes a year to carry a new Matu to term, Matu are born live.

It takes ~5 years for a newborn Matu to reach adulthood.
Ecology and Habitats
For as thick furred as they are, it is surprising to note that Matu can survive, and thrive, even in a desert environment. Though they are most commonly found in the arctic, they have seemingly no issues with extreme heat either.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Matu are herbivores and are predominantly tamed and farmed for their milk and fur.
Behaviour
Matu are extremely gentle, but they do have a set of large horns with which they can use to protect themselves, or their herd, if provoked.
