Jinveyl (gin-VEIL)

The Jinveyl is seemingly a ghostly spirit that most commonly takes the form of a whale. It is commonly seen after large battles and has been thought of as a reaper, or a guide for lost souls.

Anatomy

The Jinveyl is an ethereal creature, and is believed to be made from a mixture of the Astral Plane (Yuir) and Feywild (Eshai) energies.
It commonly appears in the form of an ethereal whale, though others have noted it taking on the appearance of a raven or a stag before as well.

Genetics and Reproduction

It is unknown if there is only a single Jinveyl, or if there are many, but multiple have never been seen at the same time.

Ecology and Habitats

It is believed that the Jinveyl lives on Yuir, the Astral Plane, and simply crosses to the other planes as large battles end, it is theorized that it does so to herd or guide the lost spirits to their afterlives, this has not been confirmed.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Unknown.

Behaviour

The Jinveyl is an interesting entity and not much has yet been proven about it. Regardless it seems to draw spirits of the dead around itself, and then it opens a rift to another plane, what it does with those spirits is as yet unknown.
