Aklu (AHK-loo)
Aklu are desert roaming fey critters that burrow deep beneath the sand during the hottest and coldest parts of the day.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Aklu look like palm sized scorpions if those scorpions had flowers on their back. Each Aklu has a different flower on its back, and so each looks very unique, it is often quite easy to tell one apart from another. They are often brightly colored.
Genetics and Reproduction
Aklu reproduce via the flowers on their back, they require an insectoid pollinator same as a typical flower.
Ecology and Habitats
Aklu live only in desert environments where it is dry and oft sunny during the day.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Aklu survive solely on sunlight. They can go up to three months without sunlight if necessary.
Behaviour
Aklu are quite friendly, as long as you keep a respectable distance. Get too close and they will sting.

Aklu are both poisonous and venomous. You do NOT want to eat one OR be stung by one!
