The Precursors- Khaenri'an the contain a viewable snippet of the past as if you were present. Using potent illusion magicks, the item draws you into the historical record etched into the devices memory core.
They are globes of crystal with a gold or silver ring etched with powerful magical runes. To activate the record, attunement is needed and only lasts until the user exits the record.
It should be noted that the user is aware of the records illusionary magic, but subjects have been so immersed in the record, that they try to shape the record. You cannot interact with others in the record or those around you when you entered the record. Multiple users may attune to the record at the same time. Users have been known to come back to the world confused of where they are and depending on the record in minor shock.
