Zephys Pinnacle

This towering city sits atop the tallest mountain in the Halicola Highlands. It's a culmination of numerous floating rocks housing a variety of buildings with the rocks being restrained by enormous chains to the base of the main Temple of the Sunshield Alliance on the peak of the mountain. The chains act as bridges for people to traverse from their floating rocks to the mainland and visa-Versa.
The Temple of the Sunshield Alliance houses the mystical and mysterious The Crystal Lotus which is the source of their religion and power. It's an enormous temple towering into the sky, with a vast network of rooms, tunnels, and chambers underneath, inside the mountain. The Sunshields act as guardians of light and justice throughout the Northern and Western halves of the country leaving the south-east section to fend for themselves.
The leaders of the Sunshields are ancient beings of different races, who have lived for centuries off the power the Crystal Lotus gives off. They tend to the Crystal Lotus and govern from on high, enforcing rules for their soldiers to uphold that are often geared toward their religion and not the general wellbeing of commoners. This gives them a less than favorable stance with those outside their organization.
